This course will provide an understanding of drugs, drug classification, how drugs interact with the body, and the effects of drug abuse on the abuser and fetus.
- Identify history of psychoactive drug use
- Identify and explain how the body functions on a cellular level and intra-cellular
level - Identify and explain the nervous system and endocrine system in relation to drug
use - Identify and describe how drugs enter the body
- Identify and describe how drugs are distributed through the body
- Identify and describe how drugs are metabolized and excreted
- Identify and describe the major drug classifications
- Identify and describe the physiological and psychological effects of drugs
- Describe the effects of drugs on the fetus
